Mr. Ramesh Sharma
Mr. Ramesh Sharma belongs to the premier Indian Police Service, (IPS), that provides leadership to all the investigation, law enforcement, security and intelligence agencies of India. Currently, he is serving as the Executive Director of Legasis Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Sharma retired at the top of the Indian Police hierarchy as the Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh with thirty-five years of distinguished service with experience in all domains of law enforcement, investigation, intelligence and security.
During his stint of three years as Director General, Economic Offenses Wing (EOW), Mr. Sharma supervised, investigated and prosecuted a large number of complex and high-profile cases relating to corruption, bribery and fraud.
Utilizing his experiences in the Anti-Corruption body, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and based on thirteen years of data gathered at the Agency, he co-authored a book, ‘Combating Corruption in India’. The Book was published by the Cambridge University Press, in which novel methods of combating corruption in India have been propounded. The foreword of the book has been written by Prof (Dr.) Upendra Baxi, an eminent jurist and constitutional expert.
At the national level, he served with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for twenty years during which he dealt with intelligence, internal security, public policy, VIP security, threat assessment and analysis, counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency.
At the international level, he served as a Diplomat in the High Commission of India, Ottawa, Canada as Counsellor of various sections, including Political, Commercial, and Consular. On behalf of the Government of India, he also liaised with the intelligence and security agencies of Canada on Punjab terrorism issues.

He is passionate about sharing his experience of thirty-five years in the service and regularly speaks in domestic and international conferences on wide range of subjects, including Ethics, Compliance, Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption, Vigilance, Fraud, Security, Intelligence, Counter Intelligence/Espionage, Public Policy and Public Administration.
Mr. Sharma is also proud to have acquired a degree in Public Administration from the prestigious Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Paris/Strasbourg, responsible for training of the crème de la crème of the French Bureaucracy and Political Leadership. The entire course was in French.
He has been awarded the highest honours by the Government of India for his eminent services to the nation, including the President's Medal for Distinguished Services, Prime Minister's Medal for Meritorious Service, the Police (Special Duty) Medal with First Bar for difficult and challenging postings in Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland and Manipur, besides scores of commendations and appreciation letters from both the state and central Governments.
